The Account Manager-Business Development is responsible for providing excellent customer service to a growing group of clients in multiple states, responding to service requests in all lines of personal property/casualty insurance. The position is also expected to proactively sell products to existing clients. The Account Manager-Business Development maintains strong relationships with clients to ensure overall client satisfaction and willingness to purchase additional policies.
Provide superior customer service to improve customer loyalty. Address clients' service requests and explain coverage and procedures as necessary. Answer client questions and escalate issues as they arise.
Actively pursue opportunities to expand personal book of business and increase policy revenue. Remain up to date on annual reviews, daily follow ups, and meet sales and account rounding goals. Contact clients to review their portfolio and keep the client familiar with all products and services available.
Act as a client advocate in assessing exposures to risk and provide recommendations to cover potential insurable losses.
Negotiate with underwriters and work seamlessly with other Agency colleagues to complete transactions according to agency workflows and procedures.
Understand and follow the Agency's quality and compliance procedures, workflows, and goals. Adhere to all published agency standards for all new policies and renewal policies. Secure client acknowledgement and agreement to any that do not meet current standards.

Experience in the insurance industry
Property & Casualty License
Excellent customer service skills
