The Account Manager will work closely with the Shealy sales and service delivery teams, and key suppliers, to manage short-term and long-term customer needs. Account Managers must develop a clear understanding of customer needs and manage the fulfillment of those needs. Account Manager role requires the ability to communicate the company's service capabilities to customers, while at the same time communicating customer needs and requirements to the Shealy/EDI team. The Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue for the organization by consistently meeting the needs of the customer and the organization. The Account Manager will accomplish this responsibility through various tasks including: Maintain close relationships with key customer personnel, and maintain clear understandings of ongoing needs andrequirements of customer accountsDevelop and manage strategies for meeting short-term and long-term customer needs and effectively communicate those needs to members of the Shealy/EDI and supplier teamsMaintain diligence and focus in a fast-paced work environment, with good attention to detailManage the delivery of services and solutions to key customer accounts, to ensure customer needs are effectivelybeing metUse communication tools effectively to manage information and priorities promptly and professionallyComfortable with computer and other technology used in day to day activities to expedite and manage customer orders,projects and quotesBe aware of changing customer trends, new product developments, and other industry developments that will provide opportunities for business growth with new and exisiting customer accountsA successful Account Manager will manage multiple objectives and priorities on a daily basis, and will effectively communicate with others to ensure the achievement of those objectives. Key to successfully meeting the goals of the Account Manager is the ablity to demonstrate resourcefulness and provide solutions to problems, the ability to understand and manage a broad range of electrical industrial customer needs and to effectively use resources and expertise to achieve results, ability to develop and maintain multiple relationships within various customer accounts, and to communicate easily and effectively with customers, with suppliers, and the Shealy/EDI team. The Account Manager will direct and work with the Inside Account Manager team to provide customer service for specific customer accounts. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years proven work experience in an electrical distribution inside or outside sales role with an emphasis on industrial accounts. Experience wiith buying electrical industrial products in a plant or manufacturing environment will be considered. Experience with multi-line industrial distributors considered.Competitive salary with sales performance based bonus plan - negotiable based on experience. Potential relocation assistance.
