Originally established as a division of Hanover Research, Hanover Grants offers a variety of services to help over 100 organizations in 39 states identify, pursue, and secure external funding. With deep knowledge in our members' fields, our grant writers are in a unique position to identify the most viable grant opportunities, write relevant grant proposals, and manage proposal development teams.

Hanover Grants is seeking an Account Manager work in our Washington, DC office. The Account Manager will work closely with our content team to ensure service delivery with the goal of developing long-term relationships with member organizations. We're looking for applicants with a proven track record in account management or business development and experience working within the health care industry with Executive Directors, Presidents, and Vice Presidents of hospital foundations and medical centers. This is an ideal role for those with a passion for getting to know organizations inside and out and then helping those organizations gain access to information that makes them more effective in carrying out their missions and more competitive in securing external funding.

Account Managers should be high-energy, self-motivated, agile, and able to think and respond quickly. They will be results-oriented and possess the ability to drive urgency and decisions, all while developing long-term relationships that allow their members to benefit from Hanover's unique service offering.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Primary Responsibilities:
Building relationships with members through demonstration of in-depth institutional knowledge, understanding of specific institutional needs/priorities, and the ability to propose solutions.
Navigating Hanover's membership offerings on behalf of the organization, ensuring the appropriate service is provided to meet the member need.
Educating members on the benefits of Hanover's products and services through compelling articulation of our business model and value proposition.
Creating customized account plans for each organization, outlining service delivery and revenue-growth strategies for existing and potential memberships.
Collaborating with the Content team to ensure targeted and substantive solution delivery.
Determining appropriate tactics to drive urgency in the renewal cycle.
Predicting renewal probability and reporting findings to senior leadership.
Creating the opportunity to expand existing relationships through cross-sell opportunities of other service offerings.

Interest in and aptitude for issues relating to health care.
Professional experience selling consulting services to medical centers, hospitals or hospital foundations.
Willingness to work outside the strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide the highest level of member service.
Superior negotiation and closing abilities.
Ability to develop relationships and conduct substantive content discussions with decision makers.
Exceptional ability to immediately establish one's credibility with decision makers.
Ability to learn the substance of our services quickly.
History of meeting personal and team monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.
Ability to diagnose member needs and identify relevant solutions.

Minimum Education Required:
A Bachelor's degree is required.

Minimum Experience:
3-5 years of Account Management or Sales experience is highly desired.

Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus incentive bonuses based on performance.
