Priceline.com is in search of an Acquisition Account Manager to support its client Booking.com, the market leading online hotel reservation service. This position will be based in our Chicago office reporting to the Senior Account Manager. The Acquisition Account Manager will be responsible for new account acquisition and hotel relationship management and optimization in a designated assigned area.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Acquiring new hotels in designated area through cold calling, presentations and trade show attendance;
Make a minimum of 50-70 cold calls per day;
Increasing brand awareness of the Booking.com name within the hotel industry and specifically in your assigned area;
Create and present workshops and sales information sessions for existing and prospective hotel partners in your assigned area;
Travel up to 50%.
Qualified candidate must possess strong sales, negotiation and presentation skills;
Extensive cold calling experience a strong plus;
Proven track record of account acquisition and closing skill success in previous roles;
Must be highly motivated and have a professional demeanor;
Must be able to excel at prioritizing daily workload to achieve optimal results based on assigned goals and objectives;
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work with individuals at all levels as well as in a team;
Positive and enthusiastic about sales;
Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Excel Application.
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent work experience;
At least one year (preferably more) telephone based cold calling and sales experience;
Proven track record of generating new business;
Valid Driver's License Required with ability to travel up to 50% .
