Analyzes and assesses existing labor plans and implications relative to an MVP offering to Labor Union customers. Maintains in-depth knowledge of regional competition, including products, rates, underwriting guidelines and local/national health care trends. Has an understanding and is knowledgeable of the Union Labor philosophy and business model. Understands basic field underwriting and risk selection. Acquires and maintains the maximum amount of knowledge about MVP products, lines of business, sales and underwriting guidelines, funding arrangements, ancillary service and internal operational processes. Continuously identifies and builds positive, professional relationships within the Labor market place and with broker/consultants to increase membership and revenue in all of MVP s lines of business. Organizes effective enrollment campaigns. Participates in enrollment meetings as necessary.

Account Manager services existing employer/labor group accounts assists in the management of large group Labor customers as necessary and assigned. Prepares accurate paperwork in a timely fashion. Promotes MVP by presenting relevant MVP informational materials to businesses and professional organizations within sales territory. Continuously attends business/labor events and other community organization functions/events to promote MVP including some nights and weekends. Maintains patient information confidentiality. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of MVP operations, contract benefits and enrollment requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education: BA/BS in business, marketing or related field or equivalent amount of education and related experience.
Minimum Experience: Two years outside sales and/or account management experience in a health insurance setting within the Large Group market; Labor market strongly preferred.

Required Skills:
" Valid drivers license and access to vehicle. Must be willing to do some travel.
" Must possess, or obtain within 60 days from date of hire, New York State Insurance License in life, accident, and health.
" Must obtain the MVP Medicare Certification Training within 60 days from date of hire, or prior to first sale, whichever comes first.
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an ethical attitude.
" Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills, with strong follow up skills, and must demonstrate workplace flexibility.
" Neat, well-groomed, professional appearance.
