Account Representative- National Accounts- NYC
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
Responsible for supporting the underwriting staff in the sales acquisition process for new and renewal accounts.
Provides a variety of services for new business & existing accounts: report ordering and a multitude of data collection.
Responsible for review, analysis, dissemination, and data input of submission specifications including corporate asset protection location placement, rating, losses, coverage’s, historical data, organization units for in preparation of underwritings’ pricing proposal and policy.
Applies screening criteria in accordance with guidelines.
Communicates directly with customers to obtain required underwriting information.
Is the primary contact for problem resolution.
Functions include the entering of consumer requests in SNAQS, Underwriting loss pick, data input (bulk and detail), experience modifications, exposures, named insureds, coverages and endorsements.
Responsible for manual and experience / schedule rating for Workers’ Compensation, General Liability and Automobile lines of business.
Independently follow up with internal and external customers to obtain missing submission data.
Verify and analyze account details, ensuring all accounts are up-to-date with premium and loss payments, collateral.
Partner with home office underwriting staff and Account Coordinator in maintaining book of business.
Responsible for adherence to compliance guidelines. Complete all required essential services. Effectively communicate with Account Coordinator and Manager to manage workload and ensure account requirements are understood by all internal and external customers.
Obtain, review, and validate insured address location information to meet Corporate Asset Protection guidelines and ensure compliance with individual state filing requirements. Is technical resource on presale system, allocation of submission data including losses, catastrophic location data, historical data, policy periods, customized account specifics.
Responsible for handling a high volume of complex transactions. Support account retention and the overall stability of the book of business through effective adherence to quality, timeliness and productivity standards.
Multi-task, prioritize and manage daily work activities.
Organizes work so that others can easily determine what needs to done and effectively continue the work and respond to customers as needed. Maintains an effective pending/diary/follow-up system. Maintains a professional/organized work area.

Education, Experience and Skills required:
High School Diploma required
Strong attention to detail; experience working with legal documents
2-3 years of commercial lines rating experience ; policy issuance experience is a plus.
