Duties include compilation of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts and preparation of related financial statements; financial modeling; preparation of various revenue analyses, capital expenditures reports, and variance analyses; verification of financial statements and notes for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission and preparation of supporting analyses; account analysis; cost allocations; preparation of variance explanations; and management presentations.
Prior experience working for a natural gas or liquids pipeline is a plus;familiarity with Oracle or SAP financial modules;working knowledge of financial statement modeling. Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills; professional but assertive personality; excellent time management skills,self starter; flexible. Periodic overtime should be expected.
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. Minimum 3 years experience in the field or related field. Solid working knowledge of accounting principles, ability to interpret and apply GAAP and FERC concepts, thorough understanding of the relationship between the main financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow). Intermediate to advanced financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel is required.
