Workflow Maintenance 40%

a. Assist in daily/monthly staffing decisions to ensure department standards and deliverables are met.

b. Provide ongoing technical expertise within the department's various functional areas and assist with daily production as needed.

c. Perform daily/monthly QC and tracking to ensure accuracy and productivity.

d. Oversee the preparation of the cumulative outstanding list and distribute for research and resolution.

2. Reconciliation/Reporting 20%

a. Provide Cash Reconcilaiton Report to Servicing and Subsidiary Accounting on a monthly basis.

b. Review exceptions and perform manual adjustments to critical variances to prepare the Lender's Interest and Special Allowance Request and Report (LaRS) and notify Servicing Systems Development to transmit file to DOE quarterly.

c. Gather data and update departmental monthly tracking reports for management.

3. Customer Service 10%

a. Provide all customers with a quality product that meets the department's expectation.

b. Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.

c. Perform timely and accurate follow-up on account inquiries.

4. Training and Development 10%

a. Assist with the training and development of front line staff.

b. Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff on routine work processing issues.

5. Personal Management 10%

a. Focus on building and continually improving time management and organizational skills

6. Assist Other Areas Within Sallie Mae 5%

a. Working other tasks or special projects within the department as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2-3 Years Previous Banking/Accounting Experience

3-4 Years Financial Reconciliation Experience ¨

Demonstrate strong mathematical and accounting background. ¨

Demonstrate strong research and reconciliation skills. ¨

Demonstrate excellent PC skills, including a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software. ¨

Working knowledge SAS programming. ¨

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. ¨

Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. ¨

Exhibit a strong work ethic while setting an example for others. ¨

Working knowledge of MS Access DB software.
