We are seeking a detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong problem solving and communication skills to work in the Asset & Equipment department within Oldcastle Southern Group as Accounting Assistant.
Essential duties will include: A large volume of data input using dual entry screens; processing receipt of products/services in a P2P system, and reviewing reports for resolution of outstanding procurement items. Monthly review of vendor statements. Data entry of a variety of items relative to equipment operations.
The Equipment Services Accounting Assistant maintains lines of communication with employees and vendors to ensure prompt payment and prompt resolution to questions or concerns and work with internal and external customers to ensure a smooth process.
Candidate needs to be familiar with imaging systems and needs to be able to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment. This position requires the individual to be detail oriented and very organized in an office setting. Have strong computer and data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, deadline driven environment. Have strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills, and have the willingness to work as part of a team with the possibility of overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Self-starter. Detail oriented. Strong problem solving and communication skills
Strong typing proficiency. Skilled and accurate in data entry and data research with a 10-key operation experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel required
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
