To provide timely and thorough analysis and review of regular and special projects as assigned. Work will consist of preparation, analysis, and review of journal entries, financial statements, and budgets/forecasts. An accounting/financial analyst III is an individual performer who may review and direct with the work of other team members.
Researches, collects, classifies, and analyzes statistical data. Participates in the development, preparation, and analysis of financial reports and statements.
Serves as a project leader for an assigned group of less-experienced accountants/financial analysts. Manages a multiple-step, complex project, or several smaller less complex projects simultaneously. Recommends action or implementation plans to management.
Prepares complex journal entries. Reviews routine journal entries prepared by others.
Prepares and reviews budgets and forecasts in accordance with the business plan set forth by operating management. Prepares analysis of actual versus planned results to provide management with feedback on achievement of goals.
Works with management to identify and develop enhanced reporting. Develops reporting routines to respond to the requests of management. Incorporates enhanced reporting techniques into existing processes and identifies alternatives for improvement.
Assists with the development of internal controls, policies, and procedures. Update documentation of account descriptions, reconciliation procedures, and accounting policies.
Evaluates major changes in regulations affecting accounting requirements. Reviews technical
accounting and regulatory literature and identifies applicability to TCF. Recommends action to
management either verbally or in writing, as appropriate.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
Four to six years related work experience or three years experience with advanced degree or professional certification (CFM, CMA, or CPA)
Strong end-user computing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Strong organization skills
Ability to work under deadlines
Professional certification (CFM, CMA, or CPA) or advanced degree
Very good ability to read and interpret technical research and reports and apply information to specific business situations
Very good leadership and project management experience
