The Natural Science and Mathematics Division of the College of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies of Lesley University is seeking an experienced adjunct instructor for the following class offered in the Spring 2014 semester:
Introduction to Statistics
Tue/Thu 8:00AM – 9:15AM Jan 21 – May 8
This course provides a general introduction to the basic concepts of probability and descriptive statistics. Computer-based methods for data collection, calculation, display, and analysis are integrated into the course. Students examine the advantages and limitations of the use of statistics in the investigation of contemporary issues and problems in science, health, education, management, and the social sciences. A research project involving descriptive statistics is required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, required.
- Demonstrated practitioner with expertise and recognition of innovation/creativity in your discipline
- Must have experience teaching college mathematics (experience teaching statistics preferred)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
