Candidates are expected to teach the required 15 week class schedule, persue involvement in professional organizations and maintain industry relationships. Must have excellent communication skills; a commitment to quality education and student-centeredness; and the ability to work with a diverse student population and be part of a collaborative team. Teh ideal candidate will be a creative and business driven professional with fashion experience in merchandising, buying, planning, product development, retail management and a strong knowledge of emerging trends in the field. Candidate must demonstrate leadership skills.
Qualifications for all positions: Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred; and a minimum of seven (7) years as an executive in the Fashion Industry.
- A demonstrated knowledge of fashion merchandising including buying, planning, marketing, team building, multi-channeling retailing, supply chain management, licensing/branding , product development and product knowledge of many different product categories.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of current technology used for presentations
- The ability to create team projects to develop student's inter-personal skills related to the resolution of challenges presented in the fashion industry.
