The Department of Mathematics and Physics is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning in a Christian work environment. With the growth of many of our programs and the increase in our student population as a whole, we are now offering more sections of many courses. We are looking for adjunct professors to teach some or all of the following courses: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Math for Critical Thinking (sometimes called Math for Liberal Arts), Finite Mathematics, Precalculus, and possibly Calculus I. The College offers both daytime and evening adjunct opportunities.
Job Responsibilities: TBD
Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics, be able to teach most freshman level mathematics courses, and demonstrate expertise in appropriate and current instructional pedagogy.
Additional Info: The University is in the process of implementing its Ten Pillars vision and anticipates significant growth in enrollment and programs. ”The successful candidate will also be able to articulate a vision for the role of his or her discipline at HBU that is supportive of the Ten Pillars vision statement.
