Adjunct Professor- Cloud Computing, AI & Data Mining (san jose downtown)
International Technological University (ITU) is a non-profit graduate university located in the heart of Silicon Valley. We were founded with the two-prong mission/vision of bridging cutting-edge theory with practical application and globalizing the best of American education. The past few years have been filled with significant growth and development in both programs and size. The university is now seeking applications for part time instructors for the following courses.

Cloud Computing Security

Course Description & Purpose
The Cloud Computing Security class provides students a comprehensive understanding cloud security fundamentals & advanced expertise in cloud environments. Starting with a detailed description of cloud computing, the course covers all major domains in the latest Guidance document from the Cloud Security Alliance, and the recommendations from the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) with expanded material and extensive hands-on activities. Students will learn to apply their knowledge as they perform a series of exercises as they complete a scenario bringing a fictional organization securely into the cloud.
Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be able to:

  • Understand the cloud computing architectural framework
  • Point out cloud computing security challenges
  • Point out cloud computing security controls recommendation
  • Understand the solutions around those challenges

An ideal candidate would need to be familiar with server and Internet technology.
A background in networking, network security and cloud computing would be desirable.
No traditional style programming languages are needed but web scripting and web technologies are a must. The perfect candidate for teaching this type of class would be someone with a strong networking, Unix, client/server, distributed computing and cloud technology background.
No programming or traditional computer science background is needed but a current technology background is good.

Artificial Intelligence or Data Mining

Job description:

The faculty member should have experience in applying artificial intelligence and/or data mining for problem solving in the business world. A general computer science background is preferred.
Some software engineering experience is desired.
The right candidate should be familiar with current data mining technologies and applications.

Each Course is 6 days for 8 hours each. Each course instructor is paid $3,000 per course thought
