Title: Admin/Clerical - Events/Comm Coordinator
Location: Houston , TX
Plans and executes the logistics for large and small scale company/corporate meetings.
Coordinates the meeting planning and execution process with a wide variety of internal and external client groups.
Negotiates hotel contracts, banquet event orders, entertainment, and all needs for company events. Makes arrangements for audiovisual and other services as needed or appropriate.
Makes travel arrangements, to include booking flights, hotel accommodations and transportation for meetings.
Keeps track of all expenses and reconciles bills with each vendor at the end of the event.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Up to two years responsible experience assisting on event programs resulting in strong event planning skills. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to work well both independently and with others. Creativity, enthusiasm, ambition and sound business judgment. A working knowledge of graphics, desk-top publishing, word processing, and Windows applications. Bachelors degree in marketing, business or communications preferred or minimum of 3 years experience in related field.
