Responsibilities for this Position:
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work closely with and support a high-energy, collaborative team in a variety of administrative duties. GDAIS administrative staff plays a key role in functional areas across the company. The selected candidate will g greet all visitors —verifying access capability, locate POC’s for visitors and call POCs to pick up visitors, provide direction to other facilities, update/maintain uncleared visitor log for visitors checking in, issue all visitor VIP, and facilities contractor badges, maintain cleared visitor log using JPAS, coordinates/handles visitors for large groups and meetings, answer general security/building questions, monitor for tailgating and those entering/exiting, provide badge materials as needed—lanyards, cases, holders, etc., Lost and Found control area, access control, security related personnel escort duties.
Key Responsibilities · Ability to greet all visitors to the building in pleasant demeanor · Ability to locate points of contacts on the resource network for visitors · Ability to maintain cleared and uncleared visitation logs for checking-in and departing visitors · Ability to issue and control badge and badge requests for all visitor, VIP, and facilities contractor badges · Ability to review, monitor and maintain cleared visitor log using JPAS
Additional Responsibilities · Ability to handle large groups and meetings · Ability to answer general security/building questions · Ability to monitor building cameras and video equipment · Ability to monitor building exterior, roaming security, identifies suspicious personnel · Ability to escort visitors as needed for meetings and visits
- Ability to control assigned parking spots for VIP visitors
Candidates must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, and must be detail-oriented, highly motivated and dedicated to supporting the GDAIS team.
The Administrative Assistant position requires a high school diploma or equivalent amd a minimum two years of related experience.
Secret clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
