Provide individualized pre- and post-award grant support to all departmental faculty. Responsible for the administration of all sponsored research accounts. Serve as deputy to Departmental Administrator involving the administrative operations of the department. Supervise clerical employees and student workers and review and approve all requests for restricted and unrestricted research expenses. Serve as primary payroll coordinator for the Department on personnel appointment forms. Regularly meet with department faculty to ascertain their areas of interest and inform them of potential sources of funding.

Qualifications/Required Education:
BA/BS

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education, Communications or Finance.

Required Experience:
Min. 3 years' experience managing grants, developing administrative services/processes, and managing grant and/or operating budgets.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic setting. NSF grants administration and budgeting experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and written/verbal communications skills. Ability to work both independently and in teams are required. Knowledge of standard office software, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Knowledge of web development and design, including knowledge of HTML
