The establishment of a Transfer Center (named the TransferMation Center) will provide the necessary one-stop shop infrastructure and staff support to enhance the limited centralized resources currently devoted specifically to community college transfer students. Through activities housed in the TransferMation Center, increased opportunities will be provided for students to seek and obtain information and support to complete their post-secondary education irrespective of how they entered higher education.
To provide maintenance of Title III records as well as completing applicable reports for appropriate review, signatures and submission. To provide program and clerical support to support with the management of the transfer center.
Manage Title III financial activity in accordance with University and Federal guidelines and using Colleague Financials. Independently maintain up-to-date, accurate and organized accounts of Title III financial transactions. Reconcile expenditures monthly. Identify discrepancies, vendor differences and changes between University and Title III office reports. Conduct appropriate timely research and follow-up on all entries providing corrective action when necessary with University offices and vendors. Examine object codes and charge categories. Prepare bi-weekly reports summarizing totals in each line item.
Coordinate travel arrangements for Director, Senior Transfer Counselor and two Transfer Counselors. Assist with the coordination of location, attendees, presenters/trainers, supplies and meals for meetings. Initiate purchase and receipt of all supplies and materials for transfer center activities.
Independently prepare all correspondences and reports to include monthly Time and Effort; Quarterly Progress, Personnel, and Financial Statements; and, bi-annual inventory reports. Work closely with Title III office in meeting all pre-established deadlines for reports with accuracy.
Answer the phones, file, and data entry from Colleague and greet all visitors of the TransferMation Center. Update and maintain office policy and procedural documentation. Process leave reports. Interview, hire and supervise student workers. Coordinate and prioritize assignments and task, establish work schedules, and process time sheets for student workers.
Assist as needed in preparing for Admissions/Enrollment Management/TRANSFERmation Center events, including First View Expo, NSU Round Up,Transfer Thursday, Transfer Expo, TRANSFERmation Sessions et al.
Maintains an acceptable work schedule. Other duties within the scope of the position as assigned by the supervisor.
The position is Grant Funded.
Associates degree a minimum.
Possess experience in the performance of various office services support duties. Demonstrated knowledge of effective customer service. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and make workflow decisions independently. Experienced book keeping/accounting function in a high touch administrative setting.
A criminal background check is required.
