wanta-architect is looking to hire a Part-Time Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Tasks
Invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reimbursement costs, payroll, tax reports, electronic timesheets, reconciling bank account, support accountant in preparing year end tax payments, and managing budgets. Maintain archive of all financial records (paper and digital).

Office Management Tasks
- Help with transition of 1099 consultants to (some) full-time employees.
- Maintain client database, website, and liaison with vendors.

Other Tasks will arise, which could increase the number of hours.

Location / Environment:
This position will work from Mr. Wanta’s home office in Soho.

Part-time position 8-10 hours per week.
Hours and workdays are FLEXIBLE starting between 8:00 and 10:00 AM to 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Education and Experience:
Position requires formal training and experience in accounting / bookkeeping.
Experience in an architectural office or design firm a plus.

Software Experience:
Candidates must have experience in QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook and Access. Experience in graphic design software (In design, PageMaker, etc.) a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong work ethic, high personal performance standards, and a positive attitude are essential. METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL and self-initiated follow up will also be required. Must be a team player as well as self-starter with the ability to work independently and follow thru without supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
