McGraw-Hill Education is seeking an Administrative Assistant supporting the Internal Audit and Treasury groups in our New York City office.

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the VP/Internal Audit, VP/Treasury and other direct reports as needed. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordinating all office management, administrative support, bank account administration, and a wide variety of other professional services for the Internal Audit and Treasury group .

Essential Accountabilities

Administrative coordination including office management and problem handling, as well as development of presentation materials and use of technology to impact the organization, dealing with high-level confidential data, arranging meetings, making travel arrangements, acting as liaison to various levels of in-house management as well as external contacts;

Coordinates projects requiring organization, sound decision making and interactive communications.

Maintains audit issues tracking database which includes facilitating follow-up on outstanding audit issues;

Maintains audit workpaper database which includes ensuring projects conform to audit workpaper standards;

Assists team with workpaper modules maintenance/upgrades;

Assists in drafting audit presentations including, but not limited to , the Audit Committee;

Assists in audit report issuance process;

Prepares bank account opening forms and manages process to completion;

Coordinates distribution of material to banks and investors;

Assists in special projects, some confidential.

Required Skills

Required Experience

College degree or 4-6 years senior administrative support experience with excellent writing and editing skills — prepares directives to staff, edits departmental reports, etc.

Time management and organizational skills with administrative skills.

VERY Strong knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

Knowledge of audit workpaper systems (if possible)

Analytical skills to assist with special projects.

Ability to coordinate and balance workload between the teams.

Notary Public (or willing to obtain license at company’s expense).
