What you’ll be doing:
Administrative / Files / Systems
Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy and tracking deadlines.
Establishes, maintains, and controls employee personnel files.
Manages confidential files and information within Tandem guidelines and confidentiality regulations.
Assists with sensitive and confidential matters like employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
Prepares source documentation and communications needed for new hires, transfers, terminations, and changes in pay, status, or benefits.
Ensures proper approvals on employee changes and enters changes in HR systems.
Maintains company organization charts.
Compiles business card information and submits orders for new hires and status changes.
Conducts research, gathers data, maintains statistical information and prepares statistical reports.
Maintains required government postings.
Staffing / On-boarding
Serves as primary interview scheduling contact; schedules interviews, reserves conference rooms, distributes candidate information to interview teams, coordinates with reception, and troubleshoots scheduling conflicts as they arise.
Assists with the New Hire On-boarding Program.
Prepares Welcome Kits for new hires.
Oversees Task Management within the On-boarding system and serves as new hire contact through the On-boarding process.
Administers I-9/E-Verify program.
Prepares and processes new hire paperwork.
Enters new employee data in HR systems.
Assists and advises employees and managers regarding HR programs, procedures, and policies within specified guidelines.
Coordinates training events and programs and tracks compliance with training requirements.
Assists with benefits administration and Open Enrollment processes.
Assists in the employee performance appraisal process.
Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need for this position:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations.
Strong computer skills; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Experienced with MS Office and Internet.
Minimum certifications/educational level:
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
HR Certificate preferred.
1 year relevant human resources experience.
Experience with recruitment processes and/or benefits administration desired.
