The Administrative Assistant in the Foundation provides a wide range of administrative and organizational support. The Administrative Assistant also supports the work of the Executive Director, Director of Development and assists the Executive Assistant with Board. The Administrative Assistant is a critical team member whose focus is to ensure the smooth operations of the team.

This position is a part-time, temporary position. Only those meeting the education and experience requirements will be considered. Excellent communications skills are essential.

Education: Associates Degree or knowledge normally acquired through completion of an Associates Degree and equivalent related experience required (typically 5-7 years).

Experience: With an Associates Degree, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an administrative assistant with proven diverse skills. Without an Associates Degree, 7-10 years of experience as an administrative assistant with proven diverse skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Testing will be required for these including PowerPoint and a timed typing test.

Other Job Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written format. Must be able to express ideas and provide information to others (telephone and face to face). Must have professional appearance at all times.

Ability to analyze, interpret, and make immediate judgments using long and short term memory skills, working effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Must be able to multi-task.

Must be able to type 60 wpm and operate small office equipment, including computer, facsimile, audio/visual equipment, copier and telephone. Must possess the ability to hear and comprehend a verbal message, read the written word and articulate clearly in the English language and visually assess situations and proofread work for errors.

W ork may require sitting, pushing, stooping, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics. Generally day shift, limited nights and weekends.
