The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred; a minimum of 5 years work experience with similar duties; customer service focused; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good problem solving skills; proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, and email required; Banner and MS Access experience a plus.

Description Delaware County Community College invites applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Dean’s office.

This position p rovides secretarial/administrative support to the Dean’s office in a fast-paced nontraditional workforce development division. This position will concentrate on duties related to instruction such as contracts, payroll, staffing courses in the student information system, distribution and compilation of course and instructor evaluations, registrations, book adoptions etc.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to managing the generation, distribution, and return of instructional contracts; generate bi-weekly payroll transmittals for the Division’s instructional staff, prepare transmittals for signatures, and execute process in its entirety. Work with Human Resources and Payroll to continuously improve the process; prepare, obtain appropriate approvals and signatures, submit, receive, track, and verify receipt of purchases related to instruction; accurately maintain the student information system as it relates to course schedule, room assignments, and staffing; manage all activities associated with the course and instructor evaluation process; perform registration/ phone support to the Division faculty, directors, and program managers; provide exceptional customer service via phone or in-person to students, staff, and guests of the College; support the scheduling and development process of credit and non-credit courses; schedule and attend Division meetings, record notes and action items, and distribute to staff; other duties as assigned by the Dean.
