The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student & Campus Affairs. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position.
This position reports to the Vice President for Student & Campus Affairs & Dean of Students. The candidate should have a background in front-line customer service and relations; be skilled at organizing events and maintaining records; be able to manage a budget; and be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to proofread. This position requires the ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and address the needs of the vice president by utilizing sound, independent judgment and innovation while working under pressure and maintaining a professional demeanor. The candidate will have the ability to understand, analyze, communicate, and coordinate highly complex issues and information to a diverse group of individuals. Confidentiality is critical and the employee must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of administrative assistant experience or experience in providing administrative support to upper-level administrators is required. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have the ability to multitask, as well as the ability to use or learn to use the Banner database as well as the Residential Management System.
