University Advancement at the University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position.
This position provides administrative support to the Vice President for University Advancement. The candidate should have a background in customer relations, be skilled at organizing events and maintaining records, be able to manage a budget, and be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to proofread. Demonstrated project management experience is a plus. This position requires the ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and address the needs of the vice president by utilizing sound, independent judgment and innovation while working under pressure and maintaining a professional demeanor. The candidate will have the ability to understand, analyze, communicate, and coordinate highly complex issues and information to a diverse group of individuals. Confidentiality is critical and the employee must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of administrative assistant experience or experience in providing administrative support to upper-level administrators is required. The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, and have the ability to multi-task. Ability to use or learn to use the Banner database and demonstrated expertise in iModules or other content management systems is also required.
