This position manages the international student insurance program and assist with other student requests and administrative duties as needed. This position requires a significant amount of student contact and requires the ability to work with students and faculty from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Manages the international student insurance program, including but not limited to, Review of foreing insurance policies, billing of UTA student insurance and reconcilliation of the insurance account Serves a back up to front desk staff. Helps with greeting students and directing them to campus resources. Responds to incoming student requests, phone calls and emails as needed. Assists with other administrative duties as needed.
Other functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with one year upper level secretarial experience or high school with five years of increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial and clerical experience. Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Excel. Strong personal communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Bachelors degree. Experience working in a university setting. Experience working in DEFINE, Peoplesoft, and Advisortrac. Experience working with diverse populations, specifically international students.
