Advertised Summary Job Description

The Division of Endocrinology is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative support to two faculty members and to the Division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: oversee and coordinate academic and clinical calendars; arrange and coordinate meetings and travel; transcribe correspondence; answer telephones and direct calls and inquiries; maintain and update filing systems; provide assistance with the coordination and preparation of grant proposals; process and reproduce materials; screen incoming correspondence and faxes. Divisional responsibilities will include involvement in administrative and financial functions. The Administrative Assistant will serve as a liaison with all levels of the University and Hospital as well as with external contacts. Perform additional related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills. Experience with MAC computer required as well as proficiency in business software applications (Excel, Word, E-mail, calendar, etc). Ability to perform with minimal supervision, handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative.
