About This Position
Under indirect supervision the incumbent is responsible for providing the President of the Foundation with the administrative support that is necessary to obtain efficiency including scheduling, communications (written and verbal), meeting coordination and other details connected to administrative duties. Incumbent is required to work with Board members and attend all Foundation Board of Trustees meetings. Incumbent acts as an ambassador of the Foundation at all times. Incumbent is responsible for assisting in donor communication, donor acknowledgment, donor recognition programs and various MFN special events. The position reports to the President of the Foundation.
5 years previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a progressive position of responsibility
Strong computer skills, copy machines, calculators, telephones, fax machines, typewriters, various computer software (Microsoft Office)
Adapts quickly to new programs
Must drive and have own vehicle
Bachelors degree in a related field
Experience may be substituted for the educational requirement as determined by the employer
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Must have a command of the English language
Must be well versed in the areas of grammar and punctuation; accurate and efficient typing (70 wpm) and understanding of how the policies and procedures of an organization apply
