The School for Adult Learning at the University of Indianapolis is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Dean. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support to the operational functions within the School for Adult Learning, providing administrative support to the academic processes within the School for Adult Learning, providing accurate and reliable data for the purposes of accreditation, and providing indirect support to other University departments.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
Requisite skills and aptitudes include excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and tasks, the ability to maintain confidentiality, the ability to present him/herself in a professional manner, and the ability to work and multi-task in a complex and busy office. Additional skills include an excellent command of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access and Excel, as well as the ability to navigate relational databases.

A high school education is required; two or more years of college are preferred. Experience in an office is required; previous experience at the collegiate/university level is preferred.

Work Hours
Hours of work: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
