Anticipated Starting Date : February 4, 2013
Expected Starting Salary Range : $38,206.00- $45,370.00

The Administrative Coordinator will provide support to the President, Executive Assistant to the President and Board of Trustees, Vice President for Educational Services, and the Center for Instructional Excellence including budget management, posting of board meetings, maintaining the CIE website, and coordinating operations of the President’s Office. This individual will prepare budgets, analysis, maintenance and approval of expenditures for the above areas. The position will supervise and coordinate office operations, projects, and events and interfaces with internal and external contacts. This person will post all board meetings, materials, and minutes to the NMC web site and bulletin boards as required by the Public Meetings Act. This individual will facilitate the CIE advisory board to develop and maintain the website and intranet documents, schedule and coordinate all faculty professional development events, including large semi-annual full day events. It is responsible for the efficient processing of all functions required of the above offices.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Three years’ professional experience in an executive level office
Budget management experience
Word processing skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft Word®)
Spreadsheet software skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft® Excel)
Database skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft® Access)
Knowledge of and the ability to use the Internet, email, calendaring software
Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating and delegating office tasks
Experience with office technology with related skills and ability to learn (i.e. R25®, Gmail®, Google® Calendar, Content Management System)
Experience using a multi-line phone system
Exhibits strong, solid proofreading, grammar and formatting skills
Ability to use/learn NMC’s information systems (i.e. Intranet, Self-Service)
Project management experience
Experience working with an integrated database system (i.e., SunGard Banner®, Raiser’s Edge®)
High-level presentation skills experience (i.e. Microsoft® PowerPoint)
Knowledge and use of Agenda development software (i.e. Novus AGENDA, BoardBook)
Experience in Higher Education

This individual will carry out supervisory responsibilities of student and supplemental employees in the President and Vice President for Educational Services Offices in accordance with the College’s policies, applicable laws and accountancy rules and regulations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training of staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing and resolving problems. Provides functional supervision for support staff.
WORK HOURS :
This is a full-time, 12-month position.
