Under the direction of the Cardiology Division Administrator (DA) and the Medical Director for CIVT, the candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative, clinical & financial operations of the CIVT external practice operations in accordance with CUMC, ColumbiaDoctors/FPO policies and procedures. Manage patient flow, review and implement customer service initiatives, report analysis to identify revenue enhancement opportunities. Oversee space/facility management, including monitoring and planning allocation of space and assessing equipment needs and purchasing. Manage and provide training to support staff. This position is responsible for assisting in creating and leading strategies for improved day to day clinical operations with a focus on all external practice operations Recommending and implementing procedures related to clinical and administrative functions and implementing quality assurance and improvement activities Organize and ensure strategic growth and improved operational effectiveness; initiate strategic vision with operational re-design Assist in the development and implementation of office site practices ? create business plans, P&L's, track and analyze activity Responsible for identifying clinical quality initiatives and managing the QI process through the Operations Committee. Integrate hospital clinical quality initiatives within clinical operations process. Liaison to clinical and business associates partnered with CIVT Develop goals, objectives, business planning processes and new initiatives Develop, implement and monitor monthly reporting systems to ensure quality data will support prudent decision making for all clinical activities of CIVT Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting , program activity and financial status in areas of revenue and expenses and business development Develop and implement clinical service program documentation and billing standards to maximize revenue Oversee faculty practice and professional billing operation Plan, assign and direct work for office based staff and all related personnel; perform supervisory functions including hiring, firing and performance appraisals Develop and articulate a strategy for focusing on key components such as growth, costs, clinical quality, and service quality.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training and experience, with at least five years of directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

An MBA, MPH or MHA is desirable and may substitute in part for experience.
