Germanna Community College, a learning centered college and one of the fastest growing community colleges in Virginia, is seeking a flexible, detail orientated individual to provide part-time administrative and event support for the Office of the President and the Office of Planning and Assessment at its Locust Grove Campus. The successful candidate shall possess executive office experience preferably in an academic setting. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, preparing electronic and print reports, and editing/proofreading formal correspondence. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing meeting minutes and editing outgoing correspondence; preparing travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, check requests, purchase orders; and assisting with all aspects of College functions including planning, set up and clean up events.

Salary: $15.00 per hour, 29 hours per week. State benefits do not apply.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, ability to multitask, excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be discreet, able to work independently, and be a self-starter. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure, at times with short deadlines. Must be able to adapt to changing situations. Must have considerable knowledge of personal computers and current software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of two years experience in an executive office. Familiarity with State policies and procedures, specifically eVA.
