The incumbent in this position has responsibilities in ATAC's manufacturing outreach program. Specifically, this position is involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of outreach/extension educational functions to accomplish outreach goals and objectives including communications, education/training, research, community assistance and quality management. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: develops and coordinates outreach programs for targeted groups - particularly in the area of marketing and internet/electronic communications and communication systems; meets with clientele to define needs or problem areas; develops and conducts in-service training which includes program design and delivery; assists in the development of marketing plans and programs for electronic dissemination and delivery; develops and maintains databases, and/or website related to a specific activity, project or service; assists in development and management of project budgets; may assist in the externally sponsored activities for developing grant proposals, applications and fundraising proposals at local, state and national levels; serves as a project manager in planning, coordination and delivering of executive non-degree, not-for-credit outreach programs; provides technical design, implementation, maintenance, system administration and support of hardware, software, network and instructional technology; provides end-user support through instruction and consultation and training; participates in cross-functional projects and activities involving marketing and the implementation of electronic media; and provides "on-call" technical support to ATAC's outreach team and service clientele. The incumbent must be a team-oriented individual and capable of self managing job performance within a structure providing strategy, goals, performance standards and guidance, but with minimal direct supervision. The incumbent also must demonstrate the ability to communicate and function in a consulting/training/facilitation role in order to transfer skills in these areas as an integral component of the unit's outreach functions.
