An Admissions Recruiter/Advisor supports the enrollment efforts of a campus, college, school or department by providing admissions information to prospective or newly admitted students, creating communication materials, and by representing the university at offsite locations.
This is a highly detailed, specialized and complex work processing and evaluating online graduate applications in the Office of Graduate Studies at USF St. Petersburg. It requires independent judgment in performing varied duties and resolving problems encountered by applicants, College Associate Deans, Graduate Program Directors, faculty, college/departmental support staff, and enrolled graduate students. Responsible for ensuring that each assigned application is processed accurately, timely, and according to the preferences of the requested graduate program/college; the Florida State University System General Admission and Graduate Admission regulations; and University of South Florida System and Offices of Graduate Studies regulations, policies, and practices.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
The position requires a Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one year of directly related experience. Work experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this position.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Knowledge of USFSP Graduate Degree Programs and admissions practices. 3 years experience processing graduate applications, preparation of admission packets and advising of prospective students. Demonstrated experience recruiting prospective graduate students to a variety of graduate programs. Experience in the supervision of Graduate Assistants and Student Assistants. Experience using Banner, VZ application, DAVE, PDF Pro and Microsoft Office Suite.
