Mesirow Financial Advanced Strategies is a qualified meaningful portfolio diversification beyond traditional equity and fixed income markets. Through a variety of multi-strategy, multi-manager and custom-designed alternative asset portfolios, we strive to achieve specific risk and return objectives for our investors. Our Information Technology team is looking for an intern with testing experience and a degree which includes coursework in finance and computer science.
Responsibilities:
• Test case definition, creation and execution supporting new functionality and regression
• Result validation against user and system requirements
• Documentation of findings - Execution Results, Defect Reporting
• Attend and represent QA in daily Stand-Up, meetings
• Participate in Iteration Planning, Tasking and Retrospective activities
• Work with analysts and development personnel in order to develop an understanding of business requirements/ expected system behavior and communicate findings
Required Skills:
• Major in Math or Computer Science
• An inquisitive nature with a desire to learn
• Confidence in questioning results if expectations are not met
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle, including the agile delivery methodology
• Knowledge of financial services
• Knowledge of information systems, including web-based application development
• Ability to communicate effectively- orally and written
