Generate revenue for the White Sheet by selling both print and online advertising to new and existing customers. Develop marketing plans for various types of businesses and provide excellent customer service.

Essential Functions: • Sell print and online advertising to customers • Meet with customers to determine business objectives, develop sales proposals to help them meet objectives • Present creative options to meet customer needs and up-sell products • Build new client relationships and maintain existing long-term relationships • Identify prospects for all products, cold-call or set up meetings to reach new customers • Follow procedures to ensure ad is placed in newspaper correctly and within required deadlines • Grow sales revenue to meet company goals • Negotiate contracts and ensure customer compliance • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up • Communicate with advertising manager on an ongoing basis • Perform other job-related duties as assigned • *Work closely with advertising coordinator to ensure ads are scheduled, run, and priced correctly •

Experience: • 1-3 years of sales experience

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to deliver advertising solutions to customers • Sales experience and skill • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers • Able to develop and manage customer database • Able to work with daily deadlines and performance metrics • Strong verbal and written communications skills • Effective negotiation skills and ability to close a sale • A strong work ethic and personal integrity • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Highly organized, detail-oriented • Ability to multi-task and possesses excellent time management skills • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Google Mail • Ability to close sales and administer contracts • Develops strategies to grow sales • Able to work in a team environment • Willing to invest in ongoing career development to enhance individual sales skills

Education: • Some college or an Associate’s Degree

Licensing/Certifications: • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record, requires reliable transportation

Working Conditions: • Professional office environment, requires long periods of time sitting, using a computer • Constant talking, listening, and repetitive motions • Expect to perform duties outside the office that may require brief exposure to atmospheric conditions • Must be able to travel to customer meetings, go from a car to customer business locations
