Industry leading publications of Guitar Player, Bass Player, Keyboard and Electronic Musician are looking for an advertising sales professional to sell across multiple brands and media platforms. Responsibilities include proactively growing established list of active accounts and generating new business, identifying and developing new ad categories, servicing clients and meeting territory goals. Will also qualify and follow up on leads, close new business and provide customer service. This position includes travel including trade shows within the US. The candidate must be collaborative, driven, a self-starter, detail oriented, and a team-player. The ability to listen to client needs and deliver cross platform marketing programs that deliver results is a must as well as the ability to build relationships across multiple levels.
Minimum 5 years media sales experience preferred and the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable as well as experience selling print, digital, events, and custom marketing programs. Position requires excellent follow-through, good presentation skills with a hands on approach – above average organizational skills are a must. Experience with MS office and the ability to learn new software quickly. This position is based in the Los Angeles or Southern California area.
