Travelocity is seeking an Advertising Operations Coordinator to join our Advertising Operations team. The Advertising Operations Coordinator will focus primarily on implementing and managing display advertising on our sites. This position is an entry-level to intermediate role, with responsibilities commensurate with experience level. The role is a unique opportunity to learn and build strong and diverse advertising operations skill set in an exciting and rapidly growing industry.
The Advertising Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for building, executing, and monitoring online advertising, marketing and merchandising campaigns on Travelocity's domestic and international Web sites. S/he will work closely with the Inventory Manager, Account Managers, Sales Reps, Line of Business personnel, and the Manager, Advertising Operations to ensure successful delivery of all ad sales, marketing and merchandising campaigns.
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in Internet advertising and/or operations and will demonstrate the enthusiasm to prove it. General familiarity with Internet advertising processes and concepts, and working knowledge of ad trafficking and/or inventory management with ad serving technologies and platforms, especially DoubleClick's DART Enterprise, are preferred, but not critical. A willingness and aptitude to learn is the most important requirement as ample training opportunities will be available. Successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, thorough attention to detail and proactive communication skills, both oral and written. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently under tight deadlines are a must. Intermediate knowledge of HTML and MS Excel is preferred.
• Ad trafficking production for advertising and merchandising campaigns through ad serving platform
• Good understanding of online ad campaign metrics and analysis, including CPM, CPC, and CPA advertising models
• Interface with sales reps, account managers and advertisers directly to provide on-going campaign management support and general troubleshooting
• Working with Ad Operations Manager on miscellaneous advertising operations projects and initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to successfully work and communicate in a collaborative, team environment
• Detail-oriented and flexible enough to function comfortably in an environment of constant change
BA/BS in technical or marketing/advertising/communications field and/or equivalent experience
1-3 years experience in online ad trafficking and/or advertising operations or equivalent experience
