Employees in this classification provide direct patient care services that include skin care consultation and analysis, skin care treatments and camouflage makeup. They work under direct supervision from a designated supervisor. Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery requires a licensed aesthetician to perform preparatory and post-surgical skin treatments on patients. This individual will work out of the practice at 900 N. Michigan Ave.
Under the general supervision of a physician-surgeon, provided direct patient care services that include skin care consultation and treatment to pre- and post- operative facial plastic and reconstructive surgery patients
Provides consultation and treatment to patients seeking medical skin care services
Coordinates patient consultation and care with appropriate medical staff
Performs appropriate patient intake and registration procedures, utilizing current systems and procedures
Review consent and disclosure information with patients, as related to their services
Maintains equipment related to aesthetic services in compliance with appropriate operational, safety, and infection control techniques, and documents history
Maintains aesthetics product inventory
Maintains patient files and medical records, as appropriate
Attends appropriate training as required for compliance
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Possession of a current/active license for Aesthetician (Esthetician) from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Ability to develop individual skin care treatment plans
Excellent communication and customer services skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
High attention to detail
Knowledge of medical records policies. procedures and documentation requirements
