As a member of the Affiliate Employee Services team, the qualified candidate will partner with GE US Affiliate plan sponsors and plan administrators to facilitate delivery of retirement and/or H&W benefits to GE affiliate employees.
This role will be responsible for supporting Health & Welfare (H&W) and/or Retirement Benefits administrative and record-keeping processes. It will include facilitating system changes from design and testing through implementation, identifying trends and/or process improvements, administrative supplier management support, and researching escalated issues.
Provide H&W/Retirement Plan delivery support to affiliate plan sponsors/administrators.
Coordinate/facilitate daily and annual H&W and Retirement benefit processing and administration requirements.
Support and audit the accuracy and performance of functions performed by the affiliate suppliers.
As directed by the affiliate plan administrator and legal counsel, manage the supplier changes needed to support the administrative delivery of plan design changes due to contract negotiations, re-design of plans or legislation.
Facilitate data requests and required filings for plans and support external audits.
Facilitate supplier/record-keeper transitions.
Research and ensure closure of employee escalated issues.
Participate in communication reviews for employee and legislative communications, e.g. Annual enrollment, SPDs, SMMs, etc.
Develop broad knowledge of processing procedures to ensure successful execution.
Drive and implement process improvement projects with a focus on customer satisfaction and standardization.
Lead and participate in cross-functional project efforts between key operational processing areas, including, but not limited to: process improvements, project plans, tracking and reporting progress, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and project planning methodologies.
Work collaboratively across internal teams to develop shared service model for affiliates and establish strong working relationships with GE Affiliate business plan sponsors/administrators.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience in Payroll & Benefits or HR administration)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Payroll & Benefits or HR Operations with a broad understanding of operational activities
MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

Experience with health & welfare and retirement benefits, including plan administration, operational activities and legislative requirements
Project and team management skills and experience. Proven ability to deliver. Capability of effective planning and priority setting, handling complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of plan designs.
Excellent communication and organization skills
Computer proficient and possessing a technical aptitude to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, IRC and DOL regulations.
The ability to work as a team member in a matrix service model which includes: the affiliate businesses, affiliate team members, other GE Global Operations – Finance teams and suppliers.
PHR and/or CEBS professional designations
Ability to travel to other offices and business locations as required
