Right of Way Agent
Overland, Pacific & Cutler, Inc. is seeking a dynamic professional to join its Bay Area team for right of way services as we continue to experience significant growth in Oakland, CA. Experienced Right of Way professionals and entry level relocation/acquisition agents and/or analyst support candidates are encouraged to apply for a variety of opportunities in the Bay Area.
The Right of Way Agent is responsible for delivering high quality relocation/acquisition right-of-way services to a diverse clientele. This position has the opportunity to be highly visible with excellent opportunities for advancement.
Ideal candidates will have applicable and transferrable real estate experience to support right-of-way services and a desire to grow in all disciplines within Real Estate and the Right of Way Industry. Strong communication, writing, presentation and negotiation skills are essential as well as ability to analyze and interpret a variety of technical, financial, and business related text; governmental regulations; legal documents; proposals; appraisals; and reports. Position requires ability to work confidently and independently with clients, property owners, engineers, contractors, city and public agency staff. Candidates with a project history to confidently manage multiple, complex project tasks are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties/Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of related real estate experience for entry level consideration (such as relocation/acquisition coordination, property management, RE sales, appraisal, etc.) Minimum 2-5+ years ROW acquisition/relocation project management and certification for senior level consideration College degree preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstrated real estate experience such as residential and/or business acquisition/disposition; eminent domain; real property, appraisal, and/or utility coordination Experience under the Uniform Relocation Act, Caltrans, FHWA, FTA, HUD and other governmental rules and exposure to the condemnation process is a plus Experience with business loss of goodwill a plus SRWA and/or R/W-RAC certification desirable for Senior Agent consideration Work full-time in San Francisco Bay Area, CA Willing to travel within project area CA real estate license or ability to obtain within 6 months Ability to read engineering/construction plans, survey and R/W maps a plus Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Experience working with MS Project and Share Point is a plus
