Summary

This is a skilled position involving responsibility for the sales operations of construction materials including scheduling and dispatching dump truck drivers, weighing trucks and keeping accurate records of sales transactions. Position requires speaking with customers on the phone and in person, making good customer relation skills essential. Position may require operation of a front-end loader on an intermittent basis. Compensation will be dependent on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently execute clerical skills related to typical office equipment including computer, 10-key calculator and electronic scaling equipment.
  • Properly follow all company policies for safe working procedures. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
  • Perform routine tasks involving accurate use of computer and various computer based accounting programs. High level of accuracy is required.
  • Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and requirements of the equipment (lifting, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to two years of related experience preferred but not required.
Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute, rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Preferred – Current and Valid Colorado Certified Weigher’s License
