Monitors and controls on-site aircraft delivery and disposal processes, ensuring aircraft are delivered and disposed of within NetJets aircraft specifications and purchase agreement requirements. In this role the Aircraft Delivery & Disposal Manager ensures aircraft meet specifications prior to purchase and resale, are outfitted to high quality standards, ensures documentation is complete, and ensures equipment and personnel are coordinated efficiently, in order to guarantee aircraft are delivered and placed into service in accordance to the schedule and are disposed of, according to business needs and company objectives. This role requires an aviation professional with extensive background in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and vendor processes. As a member of a dynamic, multi-type aircraft operation, the Aircraft Delivery & Disposal Manager may interact with the leadership teams of all the NetJets brand companies addressing a wide variety of operational and strategic planning issues. This role serves as an on-site expert and point of contact for new aircraft specification compliance, completions quality, and on-time deliveries and disposals. In addition to exacting and upholding the integrity and ethics of the company, the Aircraft Delivery & Disposal Manager oversees continuous improvement initiatives for initial product quality, contract and schedule compliance, and safety as it relates to all personnel involved in the inspection and flight test of new aircraft. The Aircraft Delivery & Disposal Manager is expected to build supportive and motivating relationships with assigned OEM's and vendors and within the NetJets organization as a whole. This position ensures all NetJets aircraft are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements and supervises the maintenance and/or alteration of NetJets aircraft. This person is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all Company policies as outlined in the NJA 14 CFR 135 General Maintenance Manual for NetJets aircraft maintenance.

  • Monitor and coordinate, in liaison with the Director, Aircraft Delivery & Disposal, the entry into service of new and used aircraft, lease aircraft, managed aircraft and loaner aircraft from aircraft manufacturers, sales organizations, aircraft owners, lease organizations and NetJets operating divisions;
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance of company aircraft equipment specifications between NetJets and aircraft manufacturers / vendors to ensure that the product is delivered according with NetJets standards;
  • Perform on-site surveillance of aircraft deliveries, certification requirements and the initial product quality check of aircraft purchased, leased, managed or loaned, prior to aircraft acceptance and entry into service, to ensure that all aircraft introduced into the company comply with NetJets standards, operational, and legal requirements;
  • Act as the on-site expert for all matters related to the assigned OEM product delivery and disposal process, including the proactive incorporation of all information regarding improvements, contract compliance issues and liabilities;
  • Manage product inspections including; interior, paint, mechanical quality, flight test, contractual and document compliance for delivery and disposal aircraft;
  • Assist with preparation of aircraft delivery and disposal requirements, monitoring all technical requirements, sales agent representatives, inspections, records review, pre-purchase inspections, and requirements for export;
  • Help resolve issues within the OEM and vendor to ensure timely compliance with schedules for delivery or disposal of aircraft;
  • Monitor the control of costs of aircraft disposals during the sales process of exiting (inspection, rectification, certification, equipment and regulatory compliance costs and legal fees);
  • Ensure proper assistance for National Aviation Authority (FAA / EASA, etc.) acceptance inspections for aircraft entry / exit of service;
  • Evaluate processes, programs, OEM and vendor performance to help identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and development;
  • Works harmoniously with the Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, MCC Managers, Pilots, Maintenance Vendors, and all others associated with each aircraft certification;
  • Keeps close liaison and works harmoniously with the MCC and / or planning departments to keep them advised of aircraft maintenance status;
  • Ensures the Maintenance Control Maintenance Air Boss and the MCC fleet Supervisors are notified of unusual circumstances;
  • Is responsible for ensuring proper documentation of the work performed on NetJets aircraft prior to approval of the aircraft for return to service or for exit aircraft preparation;
  • If requested, will travel to NetJets designated maintenance stations to observe maintenance on Company aircraft, act as a liaison to the Aircraft Maintenance Department.
  • Acts on behalf of the Director of Maintenance to ensure aircraft maintenance performed on disposal aircraft complies with regulations and company manuals.
This position reports to the Director, Aircraft Delivery & Disposal and has a dotted line to the Director of Maintenance for NetJets Aviation, Inc. This position has no direct internal reports rather is responsible for managing project(s), program(s) and / or vendors. This position requires 50% + travel, some international. Must posses a valid and acceptable United States passport.
