Maxim's Communications and Automotive Solutions Group is seeking an

intern to be involved in the design of high-performance analog and

mixed-signal RF/Wireless IC’s in CMOS technology at Maxim’s San Jose,

CA location.

Job Description: IC design intern in the RF Solutions business unit.

The successful candidate will be involved in design of

high-performance analog and mixed-signal RF/Wireless IC’s in CMOS

technology. Typical circuits / applications listed below:
Types of circuits involved:
  • High Speed Data Converters
  • VCOs, PLLs
  • Baseband Filters
  • Mixers
  • LNAs
  • PA Drivers
  • Power Detectors
Serial/Parallel interfaces IC applications include:
  • Cell Phones
  • Industrial Equipment
  • Base-stations
  • Mobile tuners
  • Automotive
  • Pursuing MSEE and/or Ph.D
  • Graduation date of Fall 2012 or later
  • Solid fundamentals in RF, analog or mixed-signal design
  • Skill in circuit design, hand analysis, simulation and layout
  • Completion one or more design cycles
  • Experience with Cadence design environment i.e. Composer, Spectre,
Virtuoso is favored

  • Familiarity with chip characterization and with using laboratory
equipment is a positive
