1.0 SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
This role will be a supporting role to the Regional Director or Operations Manager and would be primarily responsible for maximizing margins. They will drive the analysis in the Region and push the Regional Director or Operations Manager to use that analysis to adjust the business to have the desired bottom line impact.
2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be responsible for providing organization and streamlining executive ability to support the mission of the Region and the Company.
Thorough familiarity with accounting procedures. Proficiency in accounting and other software programs. Resourcefulness in conducting business operations to facilitate and support the mission of the Company.
Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from plan.
Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.
Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Will leverage the business knowledge to assist in adjusting the business to a stronger bottom line impact
Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
3.0 SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The financial management of the operation, including budget forecasting and control, accounting, purchasing, and general business functions. Depending on the organizational structure and the responsibilities assigned to other assistant or associate directors, also may be responsible for retail operations, leased or contracted operations, computer applications, maintenance, recruitment and training of service personnel, building operations including the space reservation system, or other assigned areas.
4.0 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent training through practical business experience of at least 5 years
3 – 5 years’ experience in a business/financial analyst role including Fiscal Management, FP&A, and leveraging Technology in decision making
Must have strong Reporting and Financial Skills including Forecasting, Corporate Finance, Financial Diagnosis, Financial Software, Analyzing Information , Statistical Analysis, Process Improvement, Financial Planning and Strategy
5.0 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree with focus on Finance or Economics
