CarMax, the nation’s leading used car retailer, is seeking a Compliance & Ethics Analyst. The Analyst will report to the Compliance & Ethics (“C&E”) Services Manager and will support the Company’s C&E Program. Specifically, the Compliance Analyst will have day-to-day responsibility to: (1) manage the “CarMax Way,” a critical component of the C&E Program, which conveys the Company’s Policies, Procedures, and detailed expectations on legal, regulatory, and business requirements to its more than 16,000 Associates, and (2) facilitate implementation of core C&E Program initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Examines, evaluates and updates the content of and Associate access to all documents and content on the CarMax Way, ensuring practices, procedures and policies comply with company, legal department, federal and state rules and regulations. Ensure federal sentencing guidelines are met to reduce company risk and liability.

2.Supports execution of C&E Program initiatives, including the annual risk assessment, HelpLine reporting, Code of Business conduct updates, training, and ethics awareness initiatives.

3.Works with multiple business partners at all levels of the company to identify and mitigate compliance incidents and risks and take action where necessary to make changes needed to bring into compliance.

4.Conducts monthly updates and the annual review process of content contained within the CarMax Way to ensure ongoing compliance and consistency of content and partner with business content “owners” to resolve any inconsistencies.

5.Tracks, reports and analyzes performance trends using the systems and tools that support the C&E program.

6.Maintains teaching tools and training documents to ensure institutional knowledge of the CarMax Way and related requirements; provides training as necessary.

7.Facilitates development and management of the C&E Team Intranet presence, including the CarMax Way.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
•1-3 years experience in a Compliance & Ethics, Legal, or similar environment preferred
•Policy management or related experience strongly preferred
•Experience with database and content management systems preferred.
•Experience developing Web-based content a plus
•College degree
•Advanced degree a plus
•Writing, editing and proofreading skills
