Analyst - Data Steward
ALSAC - Memphis, TN
Responsible for driving the data stewardship and tactical operations for the ALSAC Data Governance and Data Quality program. Works independently and with cross - functional stewardship teams to identify issues, research probable root causes, and recommend solutions to data related matters that address the accuracy, completeness, and uniqueness of ALSAC’s Donor Database. Collaborates and assists business units and IT to standardize and document data definitions, enterprise wide business rules and processes. Will drive the formalization of the ALSAC Data Stewardship program.

Requirements:

Requires thorough knowledge of data quality management, data management, data analysis, and project management. Requires experience using relational databases and data warehouses; proven experience in cost/benefit, impact analysis, and root cause analysis; strong technical aptitude and demonstrated experience with sponsoring and championing technical projects. Demonstrated analytical, problem resolution, strong project management, and continuous improvement skills. Has the ability to manage multiple, competing projects and allocate resources and time effectively; ability to anticipate potential problems and plan resolutions; ability to adapt to and lead change; must have understanding of Data Flows, Data profiling, and statistical analysis; oracle or SQL experience is preferred. Requires excellent communication and problem solving skills. Requires thorough knowledge of personal computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software applications i.e. Visio, Adobe, MS Project that would be used for documentation purposes; Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems and minimum of 2 years of data management/quality experience.
