Position performs primary and second level support activities, including fixing bugs and bombs, routine maintenance, ongoing business modifications, and small requests for system developments. Participates in non-date-dependent enhancement projects. Answers user questions limited to scope of responsibility mostly without peers.
oSupport work includes problem analysis, programming, configuration, testing and documentation.
oMaintenance assignments can include updating, enhancing, and/or streamlining the technical functions of the system, including data or system cleanup, program tuning or standardizing processes. Participates in application lifecycle upgrade projects.
oSystem developments includes participating in gathering requirements for system modification via user interviews, and research, participation in specifications to meet requirements by matching functionality with business needs, technical design, configuration, testing and documentation. May develop training and train end users.
College Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in various technical aspects of business systems and applications
Experienced in SAP systems development and/or application support.
Experience in supporting purchased applications, including configuration, reporting tools, database and network considerations a plus.
Ability to learn key activities to develop technical/business/professional knowledge needed at current and future position
Effective communication, customer service and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively interact within team and with all levels of users in the business and staff departments
Desire and ability to share knowledge.
Ability to contribute to training sessions
Ability to learn how own actions impact the company as a business
