JOB POSTING REQUIREMENTS FOR QC ANALYST CELL CULTURE

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform growth promotion/cytotoxicity/viral testing for release of raw materials and finished products according to approved procedures
  • Maintain records of test data per cGMP
  • Assist in writing departmental standard operating procedures
  • Develop and assist in validation of test methods and technology
  • Participate in method transfers from CSD
  • Perform investigational testing and other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Train other personnel on procedures for which analyst is qualified
  • Maintain supply inventory for use in cell culture testing
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Required

  • B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, or Related Science
  • 1 year experience with laboratory testing
Preferred

  • B.S. in Microbiology, Cell Biology, or Related Science
  • 3-5 years experience in a cGMP environment, performing microbiological and/or cell culture testing
Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience with aseptic technique

Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and practices

Knowledge of cGMP regulations

Attention to detail and sound organization skills

Experience with microbiology based testing

Experience in laboratory tests and use of lab equipment/instrumentation

Ability to multi-task

Ability to work in a high performance, team based environment
