Overview of The Department:
Personal Savings from American Express launched as a separate business unit in 2009. The objective was to build a deposit based business that could be used as an alternative funding source for the bank. Since 2009, the business has grown from $0 in deposits to over $17 billion in deposits. The business is comprised of a Marketing group located in New York, a Customer Experience group located in New York, a Global Fraud group located in Phoenix and a Operations group based out of Salt Lake City. This position will be part of the Operations group based out of Salt Lake City.
Ensuring day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and the organization’s policies. Reviews account activity and customer statements to detect quality and compliance problems, such as unsuitable transactions. Maintains documentation and keeps management informed of problems. Accountable to complete all assigned testing in designated timeframe on a monthly basis. Implements compliance monitoring goals, objectives, and standards.
The successful candidate will be conducting monitoring for the operations group.

-Strong analytical skills, ability to identify the root cause of a situation and determine the steps required to resolve the issue and follow through to implementation.
-Ability to lead and influence individuals across the impacted groups to achieve goals.
-Business Self Testing knowledge a plus.
-Demonstrate ability to provide feedback in a positive manner.
-Degree a plus, or equivalent experience needed.
-Strong skills using Microsoft Word and Excel. Access usage a plus.
